I was very disappointed with my experience at Beyond the Surface.
My appointment started late and the delay was never acknowledged. When I was finally seen, the appointment felt rushed and I didn’t feel that my concerns were really heard. I tried to explain what I was hoping to achieve with the treatment, but it felt like the owner moved forward without fully discussing the plan or explaining the reasoning behind it.

During the appointment, Shantell also seemed tired, distracted and not fully engaged, which made me feel uneasy given that these treatments require precision and attention to detail.

Unfortunately, the results were not what I expected. I followed all of the aftercare instructions but still experienced swelling and irritation that concerned me. When I reached out with questions afterward, it took several days to receive a response, and the reply didn’t really address my concerns.

For the price of these services, I expected a more attentive and communicative experience. The overall appointment felt rushed and I didn’t feel confident that my concerns were fully considered.

I hope the practice improves communication and client care going forward.
